Job Summary

This role involves joining the Project Management Office (PMO) within the Center-of-Excellence for Infrastructure & Service Projects (ISP), acting as a primary partner in the digital transformation of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The Project Manager will provide critical support for complex IT projects, utilizing classical, agile, and hybrid methodologies from initial solution development through commissioning. Daily tasks include assuming a responsible project assistance role, such as maintaining open issue lists, coordinating deadlines, and documenting proceedings. You will also moderate meetings, contribute to risk and quality management processes, and assist with project setup, planning, and controlling. A key output is the creation of data analyses, reports, and decision-making templates. Successful candidates must hold a relevant IT-related degree or vocational training, possess a minimum of two years of PMO experience, and demonstrate fluent German language skills, enabling them to contribute to one of Germany's largest and most complex IT infrastructures.

Required Skills

Education

Completed (Technical) University degree with an IT focus OR comparable subject-related vocational training

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) after completing studies
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in PMO if holding a vocational training qualification
  • Professional knowledge of common project management standards and methodologies
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with JIRA or comparable tools (desirable)
