Job Summary

Heidelberg University is seeking a Full Professor (W3) for Labor Markets / New Political Economy to join its Alfred-Weber-Institute for Economics by Winter Semester 2026/27. The role involves conducting outstanding, internationally visible research in labor markets and political economics/public choice, or related fields like urban economics/geo-economics. A key aspect of the research will be applying state-of-the-art econometric methods to complex data sets. The successful candidate will also contribute to teaching both the B.Sc. in Economics and the English-language M.Sc. in Economics programs.
