Job Summary

Join the City of Stuttgart's Office for Digitalization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT) as a System Administrator focusing on Linux and Virtualization. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the stable and secure operation of the city's central platform infrastructure. Your daily tasks will involve orchestrating and administering Linux servers and virtualization solutions like Proxmox and VMware vSphere. You will also provide expert advice to internal clients, coordinate external service providers, and resolve complex issues through thorough analysis and debugging. A key aspect of your work will be to enhance security by applying BSI basic protection guidelines and securing backups. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable field, OR a completed apprenticeship as an IT Specialist for System Integration, Digital Networking, or Data and Process Analysis, OR a comparable IT apprenticeship.

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in IT after completing a degree or IT apprenticeship
  • Proven practical experience in IT security, ideally with BSI basic protection, ISO 27001, or KRITIS
