Job Summary

As a Customer Support Engineer specializing in Firewall Administration for Airbus Secure Land Communications, you will be instrumental in building, installing, and maintaining robust firewall and network infrastructure solutions. Your daily tasks will involve ensuring a high-performing and stable network, analyzing and resolving complex network issues through incident management, and contributing to change, release, and configuration management processes. This role requires meticulous technical documentation and active participation in various projects. You will leverage your expertise in digital switching technology, mobile communication, and extensive knowledge of network and firewall administration to support critical communication systems for national security networks. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification, or completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electronics Technician with many years of experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in digital switching technology, ideally with DXT-systems (Nokia)
  • Extensive experience in planning and administration of network and firewall infrastructures
  • Solid experience in network technology and TCP/IP
  • Strong experience in IP-Sec and switching/routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
  • Proficient in network troubleshooting and using standard tools (tcpdump, Wireshark)
