Job Summary

The Friedrich-Loeffler-Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate (PostDoc) to join its Institute of Immunology. This full-time, fixed-term position, funded by the DFG, focuses on developing and harmonizing data curation standards for immunology within the National Research Data Infrastructure for Immunology project. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating guidelines for metadata, data ontology, and automated data annotation. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in an international environment, working on a project planned until February 2028. Ideal candidates will possess a strong scientific background, a PhD, and expertise in immunology and/or informatics.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree in Natural Sciences, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or (Bio)Informatics; PhD

Experience

  • Professional experience in immunology and/or informatics
  • Experience with Big Data (advantageous)
  • Experience working with different species (advantageous)
  • Experience working in large consortia (advantageous)
