Job Summary

The City of Offenbach is seeking a dedicated Specialist for its Lower Nature Conservation Authority to contribute to ecological urban development. In this role, you will be responsible for all planning, preventive, and supervisory tasks related to nature conservation, including conducting administrative procedures, issuing official notices, and developing statements for construction and urban development projects. You will also initiate, plan, and implement city-owned concepts and projects, and monitor protected areas and biotopes. The ideal candidate will possess a scientific university degree in fields such as Biology or Urban and Landscape Planning, along with experience in official approval procedures for nature and species protection. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Biology, Urban and Landscape Planning (with focus on Nature), Geography, Municipal Planning, Urban Ecology, or a comparable relevant field of study

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning, preventive, and supervisory tasks of a nature conservation authority (desirable)
  • Experience in official approval procedures for nature, species, and tree protection (advantageous)
  • Experience in conducting excursions, educational projects, events, and presentations
