Job Summary

This role at the Pedagogical State Institute of Rhineland-Palatinate (PL) in Koblenz offers a unique opportunity for a Technical Project Manager and Software Developer to contribute to the digital transformation of education. You will be instrumental in integrating digital teaching and learning resources into the school textbook lending system and the RLP education portal. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and shaping software projects, developing and maintaining relational databases, and writing and evolving code for both frontend and backend using modern technologies. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance, working closely with a team to create user-friendly solutions for schools. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Natural Sciences, or Engineering; or a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker/in)

Experience

  • Professional experience in web development (frontend & backend)
  • Practical experience in leading large and medium-sized IT projects (preferred)
  • Foundational knowledge in project management (classical or agile)
  • Professional experience as a Fachinformatiker/in (IT Specialist) (if not university educated)
