Job Summary
This two-year traineeship in North Rhine-Westphalia offers a unique opportunity for university graduates to qualify for leadership roles within the public technical administration. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma from a university, technical university, or equivalent accredited master's degree from a university of applied sciences in: Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Surveying (Geodesy), Landscape Architecture, Geography, or a comparable field. An advanced degree in Urban Planning/Urban Development following a degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geography, or similar, or a specialization in Urban Planning/Urban Development (Master's program) within these fields. Equivalent foreign university degrees are also accepted.
Experience
- Professional experience not strictly required, suitable for graduates with or without prior work experience
- Practical work in building and planning departments of cities and municipalities
- Participation in interdisciplinary training courses

- Appointment as a civil servant on probation (Beamter auf Widerruf) for the duration of the traineeship. Maximum age limit of 42 years (45 for severely disabled persons) for permanent civil service appointment after successful completion of the traineeship. Must meet specific study content requirements as per VAPbD LG 2.2.
