Job Summary
The City of Weißenfels is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Technical Services and Urban Development Department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various civil engineering projects, including road construction, infrastructure, and dewatering measures for public roads, paths, and squares. Key tasks involve developing concepts, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle from planning to completion, including budget and deadline responsibility. You will also be involved in traffic planning, procurement of construction and planning services, budget monitoring, and grant application processing. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the city's infrastructure development and requires a proactive, independent, and team-oriented professional with a strong background in civil engineering and public administration.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree (minimum Bachelor's) in Civil Engineering or related fields with relevant specializations
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration
- Foundational knowledge in road law (Straßengesetz-LSA) and public procurement law (VOL/VOB/HOAI/VgV)
- Advantageous to have knowledge in grant processing
