This role is for a Research Associate in Experimental Plasma Physics at the University of Greifswald, focusing on transport and turbulence in magnetized plasmas, primarily using the VINETA.75 linear Helicon plasma experiment. The successful candidate will be involved in setting up and implementing diagnostics or modeling for plasma dynamics, supervising students, and contributing to grant applications and scientific publications. Required Skills
Education
Master's, Diploma, or equivalent in Physics; PhD in Physics or a comparable research field (completed at time of hire)
Experience
- Professional experience in scientific work, demonstrated by a PhD in Physics or a comparable research field
- Experience with plasma diagnostics or simulations of plasma dynamics
- Experience in fusion research or linear plasma experiments (desired)

- The position is for a fixed term of 3 years and serves for qualification in the second qualification phase (Habilitation or equivalent).
