Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the functionality of central building management systems within the Bundeswehr's facilities in Hannover. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting, monitoring, parametrizing, programming, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and large-scale electrical systems. The specialist will operate decentralized control stations, optimize parameters for energy efficiency, and perform functional checks on new installations. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training as an Electrician specializing in Energy and Building Technology or Automation and System Technology, or a comparable electrotechnical vocational training. Specific ENEG system expertise certificate or willingness to obtain it.

Experience

  • Practical experience in building automation (e.g., with Kieback&Peter, JohnsonControls, or Sauter systems) is desired
  • Knowledge of specialized regulations and principles of building automation, including connections to various systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, hazard detection systems) is desired
  • Cross-trade understanding in technical building equipment is desired

  • Valid Class B driving license; willingness to obtain Bundeswehr Class B driving license and use official vehicles. Agreement to participate in a medical examination. Agreement to participate in an extended security clearance (Ü2 level required). Commitment to the liberal democratic basic order as per the German Basic Law. Willingness to perform on-call duties or standby services. Willingness to participate in regular and advanced training. Start date: January 1, 2026.
