Job Summary

This Electrical Engineer role in Cologne, Germany, offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage critical sub-projects within a major public transport infrastructure initiative. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful completion of significant upgrades to the city's light rail system, specifically focusing on the Ost-West-Achse expansion. Day-to-day tasks include independently managing project areas, acting as the client representative during planning and construction, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, preparing and technically supporting procurement processes, and handling administrative duties. Required Skills

Education

University degree (FH-Diplom or Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering or other engineering degree with relevant experience in high-voltage systems.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and/or execution of construction projects, preferably in light rail or civil engineering infrastructure projects
  • Extensive experience in all planning steps, including design, approval, construction preparation, and implementation of light rail or traffic infrastructure systems
  • Several years of experience in high-voltage systems (Anlagengruppe 4 HOAI) if degree is not in Electrical Engineering
