Job Summary

This role is for an IT Service and System Administrator at the State Office for Metrology and Verification NRW (LBME NRW) in Cologne. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of complex IT systems and infrastructure, including Active Directory, virtualisation environments (VMware), and network management. A key part of the role involves monitoring, updating, and integrating IT services, as well as addressing IT security incidents and providing 2nd-level support. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to consumer protection and fair competition through maintaining essential IT services for a public sector organisation. You will work in a team of IT enthusiasts, supporting approximately 300 employees across 9 locations, and contribute to the ongoing digitalisation of metrology. The role is full-time, permanent, with options for part-time work and 60% mobile working.
