Job Summary

This role involves leading a team within the Aachen Eichamt (Weights and Measures Office) focusing on the metrological testing and conformity assessment of measuring instruments for liquids and density. The successful candidate will be responsible for the personal and professional development of four field staff, ensuring consistent and compliant task execution, and maintaining the team's technical expertise. Day-to-day activities include the metrological inspection and conformity assessment of devices such as tank truck measuring systems, LPG fuel dispensers, and milk measuring systems. Additionally, the role entails technical responsibility and coordination for the 'Fare and Distance, Exhaust, Tire Pressure, Length and Area' department, acting as a central contact person, planning market and usage surveillance, and coordinating staff deployment.
