Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Information Security Management of DRV Bund within the PDCA cycle, adhering to IT-Grundschutz requirements. The successful candidate will coordinate policies, concepts, and instructions for implementing information security, and contribute to their creation and maintenance. Key responsibilities include assisting in the coordination of the IS risk management process, supporting risk control, and providing expert supervision of ISMS tools. The position also entails supporting the IT Security Officer in approving security concepts, monitoring the implementation status of security measures, organizing audits, and contributing to management reports. This is an attractive opportunity for an IT security professional to play a central role in ensuring robust information security for a major public institution.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor/Diploma/FH or equivalent) in IT/IT Security, or a successfully completed vocational training in IT with several years of professional experience, or a comparable qualification with long-term professional experience in the IT environment or other management systems. Certifications in IT security (BSI-IT-Grundschutz-Practitioner, CISA, CISSP, TISP or similar) are desirable.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT security
  • Practical experience with ISMS or risk management tools (desirable)

  • Willingness to travel for business trips is required. A security clearance check according to § 9 SÜG (Sicherheitsüberprüfungsgesetz) will be performed, and no security risk must be identified that precludes the security-sensitive activity.
