Job Summary
As a System Engineer for Databases, you will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous development of the central and distributed database infrastructure at ÖRAG. Your daily tasks will involve monitoring systems, resolving 2nd level support issues related to database infrastructure, and administering and enhancing MSSQL and PostGreSQL environments. You will also manage transfer and scheduling jobs, participate in change management processes, and contribute to various projects within interdisciplinary teams. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, a passion for new technologies, and a commitment to quality and continuous learning, contributing to the success of a leading legal protection insurance company.
Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science or completed IT vocational training with relevant professional experience
Experience
- Professional experience in IT, specifically with relational databases
- In-depth knowledge of MSSQL Server architecture and administration
- Experience with Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) implementation in MSSQL
- Experience with certificate and key management
- Experience with MSSQL Server Failover Clustering (WSFC)
