Job Summary

As an IT System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and evolving the central IT infrastructure of RWTH Aachen University. Day-to-day, you'll be involved in IT project design, planning, and administration of complex system environments, particularly Microsoft-based. Your responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, implementing updates, troubleshooting, and managing IT security concepts. You'll also provide 2nd level support and participate in on-call duties. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent, solid experience in Windows-based infrastructure administration (Active Directory, Windows Server), and proficiency in scripting for automation.
