This role involves the comprehensive technical management and maintenance of the Nuremberg Planetarium's advanced systems. Day-to-day, you will monitor, maintain, and service equipment like the Zeiss projector, Fulldome Digital System, and audio-visual technologies, ensuring seamless operation for public shows and special events. This includes preparing and conducting presentations, performing basic programming, and managing building-related technical tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant technical qualification, strong technical expertise, and a willingness to work evenings and weekends. Required Skills
Education
Completed qualification as a Technician or Master Craftsman (m/f/d) in a field focusing on program-controlled sequence or multivision technology (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Media Technology, Measurement and Control Technology, or Event Technology)
Experience
- Professional experience in monitoring, maintenance, and support of technical planetarium facilities
- Experience with renewal of operating components and software installation
- Experience in technical preparation and execution of planetarium shows and events
- Experience with basic programming tasks related to planetarium programs
- Experience in technical building supervision, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience in coordinating and carrying out facility management activities
