Job Summary

This role is for an experienced and motivated leader to head the new Traffic Management Center (TMC) in Stuttgart, Germany. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the realization and commissioning of this innovative control center, which is the heart of modern traffic management in Baden-Württemberg. Day-to-day, you will manage a highly motivated team of 15 operators and engineers, oversee 24/7 operations, and develop the center's strategic direction using AI-supported systems and intelligent data networking. The position requires a strong background in traffic or civil engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science, coupled with significant leadership and operational experience, ideally within traffic management or technical control centers. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or Diploma from a university, or accredited Master from a university of applied sciences) in Traffic or Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable suitable field of study.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience, ideally in traffic management, tunnel operations, or technical control centers
  • Leadership experience in managing teams and overseeing operational processes
  • Knowledge and practical experience in public administration (advantageous)
  • Experience in managing 24/7 shift operations (advantageous)
