Job Summary

This role involves contributing to the development and operation of the Traffic Management Center (VMZ) in Stuttgart, focusing on the central monitoring of 45 tunnels in Baden-Württemberg. Day-to-day, you will be the primary contact for tunnel operators and VMZ operators regarding tunnel surveillance, support the evolution and maintenance of IT systems (e.g., role and rights management in higher-level control technology and networks), and develop and conduct training programs. The position requires organizing networking events, managing procurement processes, and overseeing external service providers, with regular on-site visits to tunnel operators. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Diploma FH, or Master) in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable field with relevant specialization.

Experience

  • Professional experience in tunnel monitoring (ideal)
  • Prior knowledge in IT system documentation (network plans, specifications, manuals)
  • Experience with MS Excel and MS Visio
  • Knowledge in network technology (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in process control technology (advantageous)
  • Knowledge in client-server models (advantageous)
