Job Summary
This role involves ensuring compliance with environmental protection and chemical safety regulations within Wittenberg County. The officer will primarily focus on enforcing the Federal Immission Control Act, overseeing both permitted and non-permitted facilities, and managing tasks related to chemical safety and general health protection. Day-to-day activities include preparing technical statements for permitting procedures, monitoring facility operations, conducting noise measurements, processing complaints, and enforcing various chemical-related ordinances. The position requires strong analytical and communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to continuous learning. Required Skills
Education
Completed university or technical college degree in Administrative Sciences, Engineering, Natural Sciences, Environmental Protection, or comparable fields; OR completed 'Beschäftigtenlehrgang II' (Employee Training Course II); OR acquisition of one of the aforementioned degrees within six months of application, with the degree available by the employment start date.
