Job Summary

This role involves conducting advanced research in solid-state physics, specifically focusing on the nanoscopic characterization of innovative semiconductor systems for novel nano- and optoelectronic devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and operating advanced electron microscopy setups, including synchronous (Scanning) Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM-CL/STEM-EBIC) for detailed micro- and nanoscopic studies. A key aspect of the role is developing a Time-of-Flight method to characterize charge carrier and exciton transport, correlating these findings with electrical data and growth conditions. The position also involves significant international scientific collaboration, including applying for third-party funded projects with a focus on establishing research partnerships in Japan. Additionally, the role requires publishing research in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at international conferences, and contributing to teaching and thesis supervision.
