Job Summary

This role involves critical environmental sampling for the State Agency for Nature, Environment and Climate North Rhine-Westphalia (LANUK). Day-to-day, you will be responsible for collecting water samples (wastewater, surface water, groundwater) and solids from various locations, including municipal and industrial treatment plants. This includes preparing sampling vehicles, maintaining equipment, planning routes, and performing on-site measurements and preservation. You'll also document findings in a laboratory data system and participate in on-call duties, sometimes at night or on weekends. The position requires a completed vocational training in a relevant chemical or environmental field, a Class B driving license, and physical resilience for fieldwork.
