Job Summary
This role involves taking responsibility for the safe execution of maintenance and quality assurance measures within substations, directly contributing to the energy transition initiatives of 50Hertz. The specialist will perform independent inspection and maintenance activities, address event-related defects, and provide technical guidance to work groups, including coordinating external contractors. A key aspect is the execution of switching operations for maintenance and issuing work permits, alongside participating in functional tests and ensuring the quality of work. This position offers a unique opportunity to continuously develop expertise in collaboration with specialists, take on technical leadership, and potentially assume further management responsibilities in the future.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Operational Technology, or similar. Master's or Technician's degree (Meister/Techniker) is advantageous or willingness to acquire one.
Experience
- Professional experience in electrical engineering, energy technology, or similar fields
- Experience in plant responsibility and independent inspection/maintenance activities
- Experience in rectifying event-related defects, including in on-call systems
- Experience in technically guiding work groups and coordinating external companies
- Experience in executing switching operations and issuing work permits
- Experience in functional testing and quality control of work performed
- Knowledge of operating high-voltage grid systems (preferred)
- Initial experience with SAP (preferred)
- Knowledge of parametrization and testing software for protection and control technology (preferred)

Additional
- Class B driver's license required. Motivation for further professional development and qualification. Willingness to work in an on-call system. Ability to choose preferred work location among several options.
