Job Summary

This role is for an IT Specialist to serve as the IT Manager and Administrator for the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) at the State Laboratory Schleswig-Holstein in Neumünster, Germany. The successful candidate will be responsible for the IT oversight of the LIMS, including requirements and concept management, system parameterization, and managing its implementation, development, and operation. Day-to-day tasks involve training users and contributing to a federal-state subcommittee for data exchange in food safety and consumer protection. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, deep knowledge of database-driven systems, Windows and Linux environments, SQL, and strong German language skills (C2 level). This is a full-time, permanent position offering a diverse and public-service-oriented work environment.

Experience

  • Professional experience in administration and operation of database-driven specialized systems, ideally LIMS
  • Professional experience with Windows and Linux systems, especially database server systems

  • Experience in managing change processes (desirable)
  • Experience in project management, especially with PRINCE2 methodology and agile project work (desirable)
