Job Summary

This role involves ensuring automotive materials comply with national and international standards and regulations. The successful candidate will create, review, and approve IMDS material data sheets, analyze material data for chemical content, and present findings to clients. Key responsibilities include managing material data from the supply chain, providing expert advice on material prohibitions, and supporting OEMs and suppliers via a helpdesk. The position offers an extensive onboarding process, introducing you to IMDS and client systems, followed by autonomous work on diverse projects. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Vehicle Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Management, or a comparable technical education.

Experience

  • Professional experience in chemistry, materials science, materials engineering, vehicle construction, mechanical engineering, or environmental management, or a solid technical education with relevant professional experience
  • Practical knowledge of materials, ideally within the automotive industry
  • Experience with vehicle components/automotive construction is highly desirable
  • Initial knowledge of legal substance prohibitions (e.g., ELV, POP, TSCA, REACh) is desirable
  • Initial user knowledge in handling life cycle assessment software; knowledge of "LCA for Experts" software is advantageous
