Job Summary

As a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) at Zalando Marketing Service (ZMS), you will be instrumental in building and scaling real-time recommendation systems for their Ad Tech platform, including Sponsored Product and Campaign advertisements. You will design, architect, and develop end-to-end data engineering solutions on cloud platforms like Databricks, AWS, and Kubernetes, with full operational responsibilities. This role involves close collaboration with Applied Scientists and Software Engineers to optimize data pipeline runtime and quality, and to implement batch and real-time feature pipelines using technologies such as Apache Flink (Java) and Spark (Python).
