Job Summary
This part-time Technical Assistant role (70%) at the German Cancer Research Center involves crucial laboratory work supporting primary cancer prevention studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the routine processing of various human biological samples, including blood derivatives, stool, saliva, urine, and tissue, strictly adhering to established standard protocols. Key duties also include the proper storage and management of these samples, as well as their accurate registration within an electronic Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in processing human biological samples
- Experience in conducting molecular methods like PCR, qRT-PCR, ELISA (desirable)
Languages
Additional
- Must provide proof of immunity against measles (due to Infection Protection Act regulations). Position is initially limited to 2 years, with possibility of extension.
