Job Summary
The German Cancer Research Center is seeking an IT System Architect to join their Core Facility Information Technology team. This role involves actively supporting and implementing the transformation towards M365, designing and deploying solutions within M365 and Windows Server environments, and establishing and operating a Tier-Level solution for Active Directory, Linux, and Entra ID. The successful candidate will also contribute to projects enhancing Microsoft-based services and infrastructures, ensure the stable and secure operation of SharePoint, SQL Server, and Active Directory, and collaborate with external partners. This position offers the chance to work with modern technologies, take on significant responsibility, and contribute to meaningful research.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
Experience
- Experience in project management (planning, coordination, and control of IT projects)
- Experience in leading IT projects
- Very good knowledge in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and M365
- Experience with cloud technologies and hybrid environments
- Profound know-how in IT security (MFA, PAM, Conditional Access) and automation with PowerShell

Additional
- Must provide proof of immunity against measles as per German Infection Protection Act (IfSG).
