Job Summary
This role is for a Project Manager in Wastewater Management based in Berlin, joining a global Resilience business unit focused on protecting natural environments and water resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and independently managing projects across all phases of the German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI), including on-site construction supervision. Key responsibilities involve project acquisition support, developing concepts for municipal and industrial drainage systems, planning sewage networks and related infrastructure, and implementing sewer rehabilitation projects. The role also includes developing strategies for heavy rain prevention and climate adaptation in urban areas, client consultation, tender preparation, and comprehensive project monitoring for cost, schedule, and quality. This position is ideal for a proactive professional passionate about improving quality of life and contributing to sustainable, resilient communities.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. Cross-entry from similar fields with relevant skills is also accepted.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in wastewater management
- Comprehensive experience in project control (schedules, costs, contracts) and reporting
- Experience in managing client, business partner, and employee relationships
- Existing network in civil engineering, wastewater management, sewer construction, or pipeline construction in the Berlin area
