Job Summary
This role involves leading the strategic conception, management, and evolution of cross-departmental metadata management and taxonomy for the City of Stuttgart. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, establishing, maintaining, and communicating the city's metadata concept, ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability. Key tasks include designing and managing the technical architecture and infrastructure for metadata management and related systems, as well as organizing workshops. Required Skills
Education
University degree, preferably in Computer Science or a comparable field. Alternatively, civil servants in the higher information technology service with equivalent qualifications and several years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience
- Experience in data strategy, metadata platforms, or data governance
- Deep architectural understanding of semantic technologies
- Ability to build complex technical concepts and architectures
- Experience in developing with Java or Python (advantageous)
- Experience in municipal structures (advantageous)
Languages
Additional
- Work permit for Germany. Recognition of foreign degrees or proof of equivalent qualification required. Translation of non-German certificates by sworn interpreters/translators required.
