Research Associate (Predoctoral) in Veterinary Medicine | Biologe (m/w/d)
Freie Universität Berlin
Job Summary
This Research Associate (Predoctoral) position is an exciting opportunity for a Biologist to contribute to a DFG-funded project on Giardia infection. The role involves investigating how physical parameters influence parasite attachment in a mouse model and organoids, and how host cells perceive these interactions, triggering immune responses. Day-to-day tasks include conducting infection studies, identifying parasite locomotion patterns, determining adhesion forces on host cells, and utilizing confocal microscopy to evaluate mechanosensor activation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in understanding the interplay between parasite mechanics and host defense mechanisms, making this an ideal position for someone passionate about immunology and host-parasite interactions.
