Job Summary

The Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) is seeking a Doctoral Researcher to join the CiFly Citizen Science project. This role involves active participation in a monitoring system that uses environmental DNA (eDNA) from flies, water, and leaf swabs to assess biodiversity and antimicrobial resistance. The successful candidate will manage and analyze samples using molecular biology techniques, including eDNA isolation, PCR, metabarcoding, sequencing, and bioinformatic analysis. A key aspect of the role is preparing and conducting educational units, communicating with teachers and partners, and mentoring students in practical sessions.
