Job Summary

This role involves working within the 'Decontamination' business unit, contributing to the planning and creation of test setups, and evaluating decontamination equipment. Day-to-day tasks include assessing and maintaining defense materials in the usage phase, processing and updating technical concepts, delivery conditions, and procurement documents. The technician will also handle material procurement requests, support decontamination training for ABC defense forces, and plan and execute decontamination investigations. Education

Successfully completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant or Chemical Laboratory Technician

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience handling chemical warfare agents
  • At least 2 years of professional experience conducting decontamination investigations
  • Experience in applying and establishing accredited testing methods (desirable)
  • Practical experience in independent setup, operation, and maintenance of decontamination facilities and equipment in laboratory and field settings (desirable)
  • Experience supporting R&D projects (desirable)

  • Must be a German citizen (Article 116, Paragraph 1 of the Basic Law).
  • Must possess a Class B driving license and willingness to drive a service vehicle.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (including impermeable protective suits with heavy breathing apparatus) as per ArbMedVV No. A 4.1.1 (Equipment Group 3).
  • Commitment to the free democratic basic order as per the Basic Law.
  • Willingness to undergo a medical examination.
  • Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü2 level required).
  • Must not have completed the 50th year of age at the time of appointment for potential civil servant status.
