Job Summary

This role involves working as an office clerk specializing in electrical engineering and detailed electrical design within the German Federal Defence Technology and Procurement Agency (WTD 71) in Kiel. The core responsibilities include calculating and designing electrical systems, such as ship electrics, testing facilities, and control systems. The professional will also serve as the Master Electrician, providing technical consulting to various business units, and managing internal work preparation, scheduling, and preliminary cost calculation for the electrical workshop. Key requirements include a professional qualification as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer, combined with advanced certification as an Industrial Master Electrician or Electrical Engineering Technician. Candidates must also demonstrate at least two years of experience in creating comprehensive electrical concepts, including calculation and CAD design, and must be a German citizen willing to undergo extensive security clearance.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician or Electrical Engineer, combined with advanced training as an Industrial Master Electrician, Master Electrician, or Electrical Engineering Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or a comparable technical field
  • At least two years in creating comprehensive electrical concepts for the construction or modification of electrotechnical/electronic systems, including calculation and CAD design
  • Experience in the construction, modification, and design of electrotechnical/electronic testing and experimental facilities (Desirable)
  • Experience in the selection and compilation of electronic/electrical components for complex testing facilities (Desirable)
  • Experience in the coordination and technical supervision of DGUV V3 inspections (Desirable)

Additional

  • Must be a German citizen (Article 116, Section 1 of the Basic Law). Must possess a Class B driving license and be willing to obtain a Bundeswehr Class B driving license. Mandatory successful completion of an extended security clearance (Level Ü2). Willingness to undertake regular business trips and potentially give presentations.
