Job Summary

This role involves the end-to-end development of AI-based gesture control systems, specifically for smart medical devices like urinary catheters. The Data Scientist will be responsible for the entire lifecycle, from planning and designing AI models to their implementation and continuous optimization. Key activities include extensive data preparation, analyzing sensor and image data for feature extraction, and developing and validating machine learning models such as neural networks. The position offers an opportunity to work within an interdisciplinary team at a secure public sector institution, utilizing modern equipment and contributing to innovative medical AI solutions. It's a part-time, fixed-term position with the aim of extension, providing a family-friendly work environment and numerous professional development opportunities.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience with Python and common Data Science and AI libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Numpy, CV2)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in statistical analysis and in developing and training predictive models (neural networks, Random Forests, MLPs)
  • Experience and interest in Computer Vision, especially in the analysis and interpretation of image and sensor data
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting sensor and image data and developing solutions for complex technical challenges
