Job Summary

This role involves leading multiple R&D and Engineering teams to achieve agreed-upon goals, balancing short-term operational customer project objectives with mid-term product development. The successful candidate will manage and develop resources daily, both directly and through individual team leaders, while contributing expertise in technology, platform, and Intellectual Property (IP) management. Key responsibilities include ensuring successful project delivery across the entire product lifecycle, from concept to validation, and maintaining operational excellence through continuous process improvement. This position requires strong leadership in engineering and R&D, ideally within power electronics, and the ability to foster cross-site collaboration and a culture of safety, compliance, diversity, and inclusion. Located in Berlin, this hybrid role offers a dynamic and interdisciplinary team environment within ABB Traction, part of ABB's Motion business area, focusing on partners in the railway industry.
