Job Summary

This PhD student position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge leukemia research within the SFB/CRC 1709 "Cellular Plasticity in Myeloid Malignancies" project. The successful candidate will investigate how DDX41 mutations in mesenchymal stromal cells influence inflammation, hematopoietic stem/progenitor cell plasticity, and leukemic transformation. Day-to-day tasks will involve utilizing innovative 2D and 3D co-culture models, functional assays, and advanced transcriptomic techniques like single-cell CITE-seq and CloneTracer. The role also includes assessing the therapeutic potential of STING inhibition in patient-derived systems. This position is ideal for a candidate with a Master's degree in molecular biology or a related field, possessing experience in molecular biology methods and an interest in translational leukemia research and omics technologies. It provides a unique chance to work with state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to new cancer therapies.
