Job Summary

This role is for experienced university graduates who are eager to take on responsibility and actively shape administrative changes within the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia. As an auditor, you will be instrumental in preparing and conducting audits for various state institutions, including the state parliament administration and the constitutional court. You will analyze audit results, develop improvement proposals, and draft audit reports. Additionally, you will contribute to assessments of current economic and legal projects, actively participating in statements to the state government and parliament. The position offers a unique opportunity to engage with current economic and legal developments, utilize new technologies in administration, and work within an interdisciplinary team on fundamental questions of financial control, contributing to the effective oversight of public finances.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree with a grade of at least "good" in economics, law, or administrative sciences, or completion of both state legal examinations with a grade of at least "satisfactory" for fully qualified lawyers.

Experience

  • At least three years of professional experience in a role equivalent to the higher civil service, preferably in public administration, academia, auditing, or management consulting
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a structured and scientific manner, ideally through a doctorate or comparable achievement
