This role involves leading the technical operations and maintenance of critical water management infrastructure, primarily focusing on flood retention basins and dams within the Leine and Oker river basins. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and overseeing maintenance and construction projects, including new builds, renovations, and repairs, while also managing property related to water resources in nature conservation areas. The position requires a civil engineering background with a specialization in water resources or hydraulic engineering, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to perform fieldwork and participate in on-call duties. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) in Civil Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Water Resources or Hydraulic Engineering, or a comparable suitable degree.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hydraulic engineering or water management is beneficial
  • Experience with standard MS Office programs

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Must be able to swim. Willingness to perform year-round outdoor duties, including in various weather conditions. Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend duties. Valid Class B (or old Class 3) driving license and willingness to drive an official vehicle. Willingness to work mobile (up to 40%).
