Key responsibilities include computer-based design, multi-step organic synthesis, physicochemical characterization, and biological/biophysical evaluation of inhibitors. The position also involves optimizing inhibitors for ADMET parameters and supervising practical courses. This is an excellent chance for a talented chemist or pharmacist to advance their scientific qualifications within a supportive academic environment, specifically working on the design, synthesis, and optimization of virostatics.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (Diplom, Master, or equivalent) in Chemistry or Pharmacy with excellent performance
Experience
- Practical experience in active ingredient synthesis, purification, and analytical characterization (IR, NMR, MS) of antiviral agents
- Practical experience in natural product synthesis and transition metal catalysis
- Initial practical experience in using docking software
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to pursue independent scientific qualification (e.g., a doctoral project in the design, synthesis, and optimization of virostatics)
- Part-time (50% of regular working hours)
- Fixed-term contract for 3 years, starting January 1, 2026
