Job Summary

As an IT Architecture Expert, you will play a leading role in shaping the future IT landscape of the German Pension Insurance's Joint Data Center. Your daily tasks will involve developing and implementing standards, technologies, and strategies, as well as continuously improving the data center's architecture processes. You will research new IT technologies, evaluate their suitability, and lead project teams to integrate them into the existing infrastructure, focusing on modernization and future-oriented solutions. This role requires extensive experience in IT architecture, a strong understanding of various IT components (servers, networks, virtualization, security), and the ability to coordinate and lead teams. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or comparable) in a relevant field, or equivalent qualification according to Bundeslaufbahnverordnung (BLV)/Fortbildungstarifvertrag

Experience

  • Many years of relevant professional experience in the IT environment (ideally in Server, Networks, Storage, Data Backup, Infrastructure Concepts, Virtualization, Container Technology, DevSecOps)
  • Experience in IT architecture, methodologies, technologies, standards, and products
  • Current knowledge of relevant market products and services, and control instruments
  • Experience in coordinating project teams
  • Initial experience in disciplinary leadership of employees

Additional

  • Security clearance required (Sicherheitsüberprüfung nach § 9 SÜG). Predominant on-site presence in Berlin required during the onboarding phase. High reliability and integrity are desired due to the corruption-prone nature of the position.
