Job Summary

As an Innovation Manager at the University of Augsburg's Center for Future Production, you will be a pivotal link between cutting-edge university research and industrial application. Your day-to-day will involve fostering and expanding a robust network of industry partners, initiating dialogues between research and industrial departments on key R&D topics, and supporting the acquisition and management of industrial contracts. You'll also be instrumental in organizing networking events, conducting market studies to identify company needs, and facilitating the formation of research consortia. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of production by translating scientific advancements in AI, materials science, and manufacturing technologies into tangible benefits for businesses, all within an agile and interdisciplinary team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Technology, or Computer Science

Experience

  • Professional experience in dealing with industrial partners
  • Several years of professional experience in various industrial R&D and production areas (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electronics)
  • Experience in research institutes/public service (e.g., university) desirable
  • Experience with funded R&D projects at federal and EU level desirable
  • Experience with collaboration in industrial research associations (e.g., FVV) desirable
  • Experience in spin-offs and corresponding funding opportunities
