Job Summary
This role involves providing essential First- and Second-Level IT support within the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Augsburg, specifically focusing on the Medical Informatics division. The specialist will manage PC and server systems across Windows, Linux, and MacOS environments, handling tasks from hardware/software procurement preparation to system commissioning. A key responsibility includes independently managing sub-projects for introducing new IT services and procedures, and collaboratively developing IT infrastructure for research and teaching, such as servers for machine learning experiments. Candidates must have a completed IT specialist qualification or equivalent, proven experience operating server systems, and strong interest in supporting scientific projects in health sciences.
