Job Summary
This role involves ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure services at the Regional Computing Center Erlangen (RRZE), the internal IT service provider for Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). The specialist will be responsible for the technical support of a CEPH storage environment and the administration and development of a self-service virtualization environment built on OpenStack, Docker, and Kubernetes. A key aspect of the position is the provision of automated software tests, requiring experience with integration testing tools. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of container virtualization technologies and Java programming, coupled with excellent German and good English language skills.
