Job Summary
The University of Bremen is seeking a Research Associate for the interdisciplinary ICUH - InnovationsCommunity Urban Health project, focusing on understanding and overcoming implementation barriers for scientific knowledge and sustainable concepts in urban health. This role involves developing and evaluating a 'Lived-World Expert' approach to integrate everyday knowledge into research, particularly in Bremen/Bremerhaven and the Ruhr area. The successful candidate will conduct literature reviews, design and execute evaluation concepts using mixed-methods, and advise partners from a Public Health perspective on developing training materials and identifying community multipliers. This position is ideal for someone passionate about urban health, environmental justice, and transdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent (Uni-Diplom) in Public Health, Epidemiology, or comparable relevant fields. Applicants in the final phase of their Master's studies will be considered, but a Master's degree certificate is required for employment.

- First experience in project work
- First experience in applying quantitative and qualitative methods

Additional
- This is a fixed-term contract until December 31, 2028, with a working time of 65% (25.48 hours/week). The position is subject to project approval, with a planned start date of January 1, 2026. Interest in inter- and transdisciplinary collaboration and new research approaches in environmental justice and health-promoting urban development is desired.
