Job Summary

This role involves serving as an IT Specialist for System Integration within the Center for Industrial Mathematics (ZeTeM) at the University of Bremen. The professional will be responsible for the comprehensive administration and maintenance of a heterogeneous IT infrastructure, including GPU servers, CPU clusters, data servers, and networks. Key day-to-day tasks include setting up and configuring workstations for student projects, providing technical support and training to new team members, managing inventory, executing hardware procurement, and maintaining group websites. The ideal candidate must possess a background in system integration, strong knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows, and macOS operating systems, and experience with virtualization environments. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic scientific environment and contribute significantly to the technical operations of research groups.
