Job Summary

The BGW is seeking a dedicated Expert for Occupational Health and Safety to join their team in Dresden. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for advising and supporting businesses on workplace safety and health protection, including investigating the causes of accidents and occupational diseases. You will also conduct seminars to promote a safe and healthy work environment and participate in various working groups and projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to become a certified supervisor through a comprehensive 2.5-year training program, leading to a potential civil servant position. Ideal candidates will possess a relevant university degree, practical professional experience, and a strong commitment to promoting health and safety in the healthcare and welfare sectors.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Natural Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Applied Pharmacy, Safety and Hygiene), Medicine (Human, Dental, Veterinary), Nursing Sciences, Pedagogy (e.g., Health Pedagogy, Social Pedagogy, Special and Inclusive Education, Medical Pedagogy), Psychology, Sociology, or Gerontology. Alternatively, a comparable degree with at least 60% focus on one of the mentioned areas, or already a certified supervisor with a Master's degree or University Diploma.

Experience

  • At least two years of relevant professional experience post-university degree
  • Ideally, experience in Quality and Project Management
  • Desirable: several years of leadership experience
  • Desirable: operational experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in BGW-insured sectors

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • EU citizenship required at the time of application. Must possess a Class B driving license and be willing to undertake business trips (company car provided). Successful completion of a 2.5-year training program to become a certified supervisor in the higher service.
