Job Summary

The Federal Supervisory Authority for Air Navigation Services (BAF) is seeking an Administrative Officer to join their Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in defining criteria for the approval and ongoing supervision of U-Space Service Providers (USSP) and single Common Information Service Providers (sCISP), including developing application forms and process documentation. A key responsibility will be conducting approvals, audits, and inspections of these service providers in accordance with EU regulations. You will also contribute to building and maintaining a registration system and database for approved USSP/sCISP, coordinating with other aviation authorities like EASA. This position involves significant regulatory and organizational tasks, representing the authority in national and international bodies, and analyzing safety-related incidents. It's an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a background in regulatory affairs or operations, strong language skills, and an interest in aviation, to shape the future of unmanned aerial traffic management.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university education (Bachelor/FH-Diploma or equivalent) in a relevant field with a regulatory or operational focus, or career examination for the higher civil service, or equivalent skills and experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an Auditor or in a supervisory role (desirable)
  • Professional experience in regulatory or operational fields
