Job Summary

This role is for a skilled Technician specializing in Plant Engineering and Energy Generation at the Technical University of Dortmund. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of energy technology systems and networks, including heating and cooling, as well as coordinating and planning system modifications and expansions. A key part of the role involves organizing the control room operations and overseeing safety inspections for pressure equipment and emissions. Required Skills

Education

State-certified Technician, preferably in Supply Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering; or comparable knowledge and experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in the maintenance and operation of large-scale energy supply systems (large-scale water boilers, combined heat and power plants, and refrigeration units)
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., BetrSichV, TRBS, DGUV)
  • Qualification as a Boiler Operator for hot water boilers or willingness to acquire it
